Positioned above the Light Bee X and below the Ultra Bee in the SurRon line-up, the Light Bee 2 occupies an entirely new performance bracket – delivering power figures previously only seen in the Ultra Bee, wrapped in a compact and agile lightweight chassis. This is the model that will redefine what riders expect from a lightweight electric off-road motorcycle.
Incredible Power-to-Weight Ratio
Redefining the balance between power and weight. With a huge 24kW of power, 410Nm of torque and weighing in at only 65kg, the Light Bee 2 sets a new standard for lightweight E-Motos.
World-First Semi-Solid-State Battery
The headline innovation of the Light Bee 2 is its next-generation semi-solid-state battery, developed in partnership with QingTao Energy – a world-first for a production electric motorcycle at this price point. The 78.54V/45Ah pack delivers 3.53kWh of usable energy at a cell density of 320Wh/kg, while the entire battery unit weighs just 14.9kg. Range is rated at up to 108km (at 40km/h) – a substantial improvement over the MY26 Light Bee X.
EVO-2 Motor
The Light Bee 2 is powered by Surron’s new EVO-2 motor — a smaller, lighter, and more powerful unit than the motor used in the Light Bee X. The EVO-2 spins 67% faster (8,700 vs 5,200 RPM) while being 9% smaller in diameter, enabling it to produce 24kW of peak power – a 200% increase over the MY26 Light Bee X – within the same overall bike dimensions.
Bee Matrix Controller
Power is managed by the new Bee Matrix controller, which enables the seven ride modes and all advanced electronic rider assistance features.

Advanced Rider Assistance
The Light Bee 2 is the most electronically sophisticated Surron ever offered in Australia, featuring:
- SWC Wheelie Control – with separate Beginner and Advanced modes, making it accessible for less experienced riders while remaining tunable for expert use
- Three-Stage Traction Control – actively manages rear wheel spin for confident acceleration in loose or slippery conditions
- Linear Regenerative Braking System (RBS) – a smooth, progressive regenerative braking trigger that also functions as a backup throttle input
- Surron App Integration – full Bluetooth connectivity for ride mode selection, M mode customisation, and ride data review
Forged Aluminium Frame – 50% Stronger
The Light Bee 2 introduces an entirely new forged aluminium double-cradle frame, engineered to be 50% stronger than the Light Bee X chassis – with welds strategically eliminated from high-stress areas. The redesigned swingarm and reinforced chassis hardware provide a platform strong enough for serious jumping, whoops, and enduro use, while retaining the agile, playful feel the Light Bee is known for.
Premium Kashima-Coated Suspension
The Light Bee 2 is fitted with premium 38mm dual-chamber front forks with Kashima coating – the same surface treatment used on high-end motocross forks. The Kashima coating significantly reduces friction and improves damping consistency. Front travel increases to 215mm, up from 200mm on the Light Bee X, with a fully tuned rear shock and linkage to match.
Upgraded Braking
Four-piston calipers on 220/203mm rotors front and rear provide confident, faderesistant stopping power – a meaningful upgrade over the Light Bee X braking system and appropriate given the Light Bee 2’s substantially higher performance level.
